Once upon a time, there was a small town called Golden Gate. A small town it was indeed, nestled in the most beautiful valley and surrounded by the Silven Mountains. The citizens of Golden Gate filled the town with life and for nearly 800 years they lived in peace and harmony, blessed by the old highly respected priest of Golden Gate, Zanarh Erin. But one day... disaster struck the town and had it not been for one young and brave hero, Golden Gate would have been destroyed forever !! This hero, who saved the town and thus made it possible for the now legendary town, to live on, was a young knight called Samuel Whitewaters.
Now lets turn back time and begin the story the day before, the most horrible day in the history of Golden Gate.
"Samuel opened his eyes and turned his head to look out the window. The sun shined from the beautiful blue sky and though early in the morning, he could already hear noise coming from outside, where some kids were running around playing. Samuel got out of bed and yawned, while stretching his tired bones. He took a couple of steps towards the window and looked out........
-- Samuel was surprised to see the children flocking around a company of three dwarfs. Actually he wasn´t surprised to see the children, cause that is what to be expected from such. But it was indeed a rare sight to see strangers in Golden Gate, and of all, dwarfs. "Stout little ones" Samuel thought. All clad in iron they were, wearing weapons by their side and shields on their backs. They seemed to have been through a long journey of danger and perils. Tired they were, though rank and tall they stood (or at least as tall as dwarfs can get). Zanarh Erin suddently appeared and while shussing the children away, bidding the dwarfs to come with him to the tavern. Looking toward Samuel´s house Zanarh Erin saw him standing in the window and spoke, "Come and join us won´t you, Samuel. This matter concernes you too". "A moment I need to gather my self", Samuel replied, while Zanarh Erin and the dwarfs were heading towards the Gate tavern. -- - Submitted by Jacob Bille - (email)
10 minutes later, Samuel walked out the door of his small home and took a deep breath. A pleasent smell reached him quickly. It was the smell of freshly baked bread and Samuel knew were it was coming from. Because just across the street from where he lived, the old lady, Mrs. Miriam had a small bakery and every morning she baked the best bread in the whole city of Golden Gate. Samuel smiled and yelled "Good morning" to the nice old lady and then he began walking towards the tavern and just a moment later, he reached the entry. Samuel walked into the tavern and noticed Zanarh Erin and the three dwarfs sitting at a table and Zanarh Erin spoke to him...
