Rudy, Mike and Wayne arrived by Ferry at Avalon with their boats disassembled and stowed in carry on luggage.

The assembly was done under close supervision of many spectators. Their departure was cheered on by all.

The trio paddled a short distance to the "Italian Gardens" campground, where they spent the night.

The following day, they headed for the Isthmus Cove, fighting head winds all the way.....
