RESOLUTION 00-023, EXTENDING CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY OF JAMES BECKWITH |

|
WHEREAS, It has pleased the Almighty to remove from our midst a long time resident and faithful public servant in the person of James Beckwith, and |
|
|
|
WHEREAS, James Beckwith was not only faithful in his duties as a village patrolman and auxiliary patrolmen, but was a mentor to many of the current full-time police officers, and
WHEREAS, His person will be geatly missed by his family, friends and community.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Council, Village of West Jefferson, County Madison, State of Ohio, with all members elected thereto concurring as follows, |

SECTION I: The council of the Village of West Jefferson wishes to extend its heartfelt condolences to the family of Jim Beckwith, and recognizes the many years of selfless contribution that he made towards the safety and security of the village residents. They further want to recognize the nurturing that he provided in helping them to become successful peace officers.
SECTION II: A copy of this Resolution, under signature of the Council President, Vice President, and members, and under the signature and seal of the Mayor and Clerk of Council shall be presented to the family in appreciation of his service.
SECTION III: This resolution shall take effect at the earliest period of time allowable by law.
