At 40 years of age Mary became the mother of Sallie Lou Burgin in Fayette Co., KY, October 7, 1870. Her obituary from the Lexington Leader: Mrs. Mary H. Burgin, aged 63 years, and mother of Mrs. Judge Watts Parker, died at the home of the latter, 35 Barr Street, this city, on Saturday morning at 6:15 o'clock. Mrs. Burgin had been in bad health for two years past, and had been confined to her bed for the past month. She went to Florida during the past winter in hopes of recovering her health, but returned home little, if any, improved. Mrs. Burgin was a native of Montgomery County, and lived near Athens, in this county. She was a most lovable Christian woman, and will be missed by many warm and admiring friends. The deceased leaves her husband, Tacitus Burgin, and seven children, all grown, to mourn her loss. The children are Mrs. Sallie Roddick, Mrs. Watts Parker and Miss Helen Burgin, Dr. Perry Burgin, of Florida, Dr. Cliff Burgin, of this city, John Burgin, of Clark county, and Frank Burgin, of this county. The funeral services will be held at the residence of Judge Watts Parker, 35 Barr Street, this afternoon at five o'clock.

Ninian was born in Surry Co., NC December 18, 1787. Ninian was the son of Gerrard Riley and Frances Wright. Ninian died March 15, 1843 in Wheatley, Owen Co., KY, at 55 years of age. At 23 years of age Ninian became the father of Samuel Hinds Riley in Clermont Co., OH, December 15, 1811.

10 v. Mary "Polly" Hinds was born in KY before 1793. She married Samuel Rankin in Fayette Co., KY, September 22, 1813. Samuel was born Augusta Co., VA February 17, 1784. Samuel was the son of Adam Rankin and Martha McPheeters. Samuel died September 23, 1842 in Routersville, Fayette Co., TX, at 58 years of age.
