Meaning

Happening is a special event where people from all different backgrounds and locations can  come together as one to experience God's Love.  Sharing His love with everyone around you is   a large part of the "Happening Experience."  This experience touches each "Happener" in a different way.  It could be a simple gesture or hug from a fellow "Happener" or staff member that sheds light on the weekend's purpose.  Sometimes the simple things in life make all the difference.  God is so apparent in everything that takes place, not just at Happening but everywhere.  He's in every hug, every smile, every laugh, every tear, he's everywhere.  Happening has been know to be the way for someone to see that God is in every good thing in the world.  For everyone who intends to attend Happening, go into the weekend with an open mind, open eyes, and an open heart, and let the surrounding love that is there fill you up and stay with you forever.

Elaine "Thud" Kibodeaux~~ To me, Happening #38 was an answer to so many of my questions.  I was your typical Doubter, I had a question about everything.  I believed, but there was always part of me saying, "Well, what if...?"  Happening helped me forget those questions of "What if?"  It also meant the world to me to see it helping one of my friends who'd had so many problems and doubts of her own going on at home.  Seeing her at peace with her problems and happy about her life was the final Doubt-Eraser.  My faith has increased a great deal since that weekend.  I found myself less afraid to express my beliefs at school.  It was such a wonderful eye-opener!  If it weren't for Happening, there are so many things I would have missed!  Happening was one of the greatest experiences of my life!
