Forbidden Love
Part Three - Torn

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  Lewis had been locked in his room for three days straight. When Oswald had peeked in, all he saw was Lewis staring out the window. If he was asked anything, the answer was an automatic 'no'. God, I'm such an idiot. Lewis had been mulling over this concept for hours. Then it hit him.He got up, grabbed his coat and exited his room. Oswald looked up from his cereal. "Where ya goin, buddy?" Cereal at two in the morning… idiot… Lewis replied he was simply going out. Oswald shrugged and continued eating his cereal. Lewis exited through the warsaw.
  Forgetting his car, he started walking down the street, then broke into a full sprint. After a good seven minutes of running, Lewis entered Drew's backyard. He picked up a few pebbles off the ground and hurled them lightly at the guest bedroom window. Feeling like a child, he grinned widely. The window opened and Naomi's head popped out. Her eyes were red and she had black lines on her cheeks. "Lewis?!" She yelled, half with excitement and half with anguish. "Shhh!" She gripped her hand over her mouth. "I need to talk to you!" Naomi nodded. "Hold on" She rushed to the bed and striped it of it's sheets. Tying them together, she made a rope and repelled down the side of the house. Suddenly, she heard a creak.
Uhoh. The rope became untied and she fell about seven feet and was luckily caught by Lewis. "Hello, Juliet" She fliped her hair. "Oh! There for art thou, Romeo!" Lewis smiled warmly and wiped a streak of mascara Naomi had missed. "Let's talk" She asked as he set her on the ground. "Now yet. Follow me" He took her by the hand and led her to the local park. They sat on a bench. "It's so peaceful here" Naomi leaned back and stared at the night sky. "Much more tranquill that at home" She made a disgusted face. "Home. Ha. That sounds so weird. It's not even my home… not anymore… it's my prison" Lewis took her hand once more. "Then where is your home?"
"Anywhere" He cocked his head. "As long as it's with you" She leaned against his chest. "I don't know Drew went flippin' It's like he wasn't even himself" Lewis patted her head reassuringly. "He'll get over it… I hope. These past three days have been Hell"
"I know what you mean"
  "Hey, I have an idea!" Lewis said. "That could be dangerous…" He bent down and tickeld Naomi. "Come on!" They ran out of the park and to an apartment. "I never thought I'd come back here on my own free will…" Lewis dragged Naomi up the stairs and too a door. "Lewis, what the hell are we doing here?" He hushed her and knocked on the door. It opened. "Lewis? What are you doing here… Naomi?!"
"Steve… we need to ask you a favor"
"Oh, sure. Come on in" He closed the door behind them. Lewis and Naomi collapsed on the couch. "What's wrong, guys?" After taking several deep breaths, Naomi related the story to Steve. When she finished, a tired and distraught Mimi came out to the living room. "Steve, what in God's name are you doing out here? And why and Lewis and this girl here?" Naomi gasped. "Oh my God! I LOVE you're makeup! You must go professional!" Mimi smiled. "I like her. Just be back in bed before dawn" She left. "So we need you to talk to Drew. If he finds out…"
"Ok, ok. I'll talk to him" Lewis and Naomi stood up to leave. "If you two need anything else, don't be afraid to stop by, ok?" They nodded. "And Lewis" He turned. "Be good to her. Or I'll have to take matters into my own hands" Steve smiled and closed the door after they left.
Lewis took Naomi back to Drew's house. He bent down and kissed her. "It'll work out" She nodded. "Hey, Naomi?"
"Yes, Lewis?" He gestured towards the second-story window. "How are ya gonna get up there?" She frowned. "Good point" Lewis bent down and picked her up. Luckily, the window was still open. He boosted Naomi up until she could climb through the opening. "I love you!" She yelled quietly. "I love you too!" Naomi smiled and closed the window. She plopped on the bed and thought.
Until this is over, however. I'll still be torn. She cried for a few minutes, then drifted off to sleep.
