This year has opened into a corridor of tremendous success in the academic, career oriented and personal realms. What has been solidified in my heart cannot be expressed by typing, but it will suffice to say that Christ is continuing his pleasant process of sanctification in my life and I am truly enjoying the presence and knowing the joy of the Lord.
Where I am right know academically is relative depending on whether or not I stay in school an extra year and pursue a minor. Currently I have two majors - Professional Piloting and Biblical Studies, both of which are 3/4 completed. I have about another 10 core courses I will need to wrap up my affiliation with Geneva, and a few random classes at CCBC as well as my ratings and licenses for piloting.
I'm working on my instrument rating right now, I have about 100 hours cumulatively, 30 instrument and I'm wrapping up my nauseating succession of cross countries within the month. School is panning out splendidly and is much more fulfilling and enjoyable than I ever thought imaginable by such a challenge. I'm also deriving sincere pleasure from my profession as a teaching assistant at Geneva for the Bible department.
Another awesome endevour that I am thankful to be apart of has been the Evangelism Explosion program Chippewa E-Free started in earnest this past year. Wow! I mean, WOW! What an awesome way to see God work and appreciate his design for the community. Already the turn over has been wonderful, we've seen people accept Christ after being presented with the gospel, and redirect their lives if off the road of sanctification. The people involved are genuine in their desire to see God's will performed in the lives of the individuals we meet, and greater reward in their own lives from the benefit of ministry.
I have found a deep satisfaction in joining with other like-minded Christians to call on God's saving glory to be demonstrated every Thursday night. We're never disappointed. Our circle of friendship and outreach is always growing, always filling more and more with love, and always touching lives in personal ways that leave us mere humans awestruck at the compassion and mercy of our incredible God.
I still retain my variety of interests that encourage creativity and provide a relaxing outlet for the school stress I tend to generate due to my overperfectionalism and often unreasonable expectations for achievement (lol). All in all however I have found that with God all things are possible, and more than possible, they are incredibly rewarding beyond belief when following a God-directed path. A few of my current (as in pertaining to the last year) activities include jogging and hiking, writing, taking my three parrots out places they enjoy, playing pool and racketball with my brothers and friends, reading material based on intriguing psychological research, and FLYING like ground is secondary!
Latrobe is pretty fun, a nice short flight, Columbus, University State, and Erie are BEAUTIFUL ... atleast as scenic as it gets around here.
Anyway, I love to type when I can muster the time (which I will make) so email if you have an inclination. I hope you all are doing well and succeeding on your own terms. God bless.
My Statement of Faith.
