NEWS BULLETIN: Deanna and I sold (on ebay) our SCAMP! We recently got another trailer (it has a shower!) This also brings up questions about Scamp Camp at Winfield. After much deliberation (less than 3 seconds) we are not going to re-name our camp. If anyone could help paint a Scamp on our "new" trailer or ideas for a Scamp tribute, let us know.
Scamp Camp is the home of "Good Old Music, Any Old Time." Bill & Deanna Lisk from Siloam Springs, Arkansas host Scamp Camp jams most any evening where we play Old time, Appalachian, Celtic and Folk Music.
We enjoy seeing our old friends from the many years at Winfield and always look forward to meeting new friends and invite other musicians to join in.
As the years go by we find ourselves spending more time in the camp jamming and less time going to the shows. Deanna has been a regular at Land Rush for several years and spends alot of time commuting between Siloam Springs and Winfield during the month of September. You can usually find us camped across from the boat ramp in the walnut grove side of the fairgrounds. This year we were going to try to get closer to Stage 3... and we ended up right behind the Stage. We could sit in our trailer and enjoy the shows!
This stopped us from jamming here, but also let Deanna and me enjoy other jams. We spent several evenings and mornings at Carp Camp. It was a blast, Dave knows how to have fun!
Deanna plays fiddle, viola, and concertina and Bill plays guitar. They perform together as "Two Cents Worth" at Contra Dances, Festivals, and are founders and the host band of Second Saturday Music in Siloam Springs, Arkansas and the monthly Irish Session at the Perk in Fayetteville, AR.
