What a WONDERFUL site you have created William! Thank you. Such amazing beauty all around. I am so happy you have captured it as you have and depict it here for all to see. I grew up in Bad Axe. My Grandfather worked in Harbor Beach and we often drove to that area. I remember playing in the park as a young girl. I recall knowing the Klump family as they attended Our Savior Lutheran in Bad Axe at one time. I do believe they had a daughter named Gwen. So many memories. Thanks once again. What a lovely job you have done!

William, Those trees with the cone shaped flowers in Harbor Beach are blooming horse chestnut trees. I grew up in Harbor Beach and they are dirty trees. Those flowers fall off in a million pieces.

William replies: Thanks for the info! You're the second person to call them "dirty trees"...so it looks ike Harbor Beach residents have a love/hate relationship with them. But, hey...we out-of-towners like 'em! That's gotta count for something, right?

Great job William. We lived in Harbor Beach from 1982 until 1991. I was a teacher and principal at Zion Lutheran School. Your pictures and articles are great.

Hey, nice site. I'm currently living in Saginaw going to college. I just started about 6 weeks ago. I live otherwise in Bad Axe and work at The Bank 1884 in Port Austin. It's like going home looking at all the pictures. Keep up the good work. I'd li e to see more from Port Austin and west!
