NL Roundup- Set 4
Ruth making historic Triple Crown run
Never before in the history of the WLOC has a player won the Triple Crown. This season, Scranton's Babe Ruth is making the first serious run at that feat, currently leading the NL in Average (.388, just ahead of Brooklyn's Tony Gwynn who is at .382), HR's (30, well ahead of Detroit's Hank Greenberg who has 22) and RBI (72, just ahead of Tijuana's Ted Williams who has 69).

In fact, Ruth leads the entire WLOC in Average and HR's and trails only Houston's Earl Averill (76) and Eddie Mathews (75) in Runs Batted In.
Camnitz & Welch keep winning...and winning...
Seaside has remained at or near the top of the NL all season long, backed by the strong arms of Howie Camnitz and Mickey Welch. Combined the 2 Sting Ray aces are 19-2 on the season (Welch 8-1 2.80 ERA, Camnitz 11-1 2.38 ERA).

Red Camnitz is 2nd in the league in wins behind Minnesota's Smokey Joe Wood & Scranton's Prince Hal Newhouser who each have 12 and his ERA is 2nd only to Detroit's Gettysburg Eddie Plank (2.10 and a record of 7-1 himself).
Blockbuster trade looks to jumpstart Tokyo, Philly
Two of last years playoff teams, including the Philadelphia Fighting Amish who represented the AL in the World Series and the Tokyo Samurai pulled off a huge swap of star players. The deal is hoped by both team's Owners to jumpstart franchises that are both surprisingly in last place in their respective leagues.

The Samurai traded perennial batting champion Rogers Hornsby, along with Ralph Kiner, Max Manning, Chief Bender and
Claude Hendrix to the Amish in exchange for Eddie Collins, Jesse Burkett, Lefty Gomez and Shigeru Sugashita.
