Nov 1847.

Sir George Seymour passengers were fencibles from London, England with a few of County Cork, 
Ireland. 

Major John Gray (Grey), 40th Regt (commandant RNZ Fencibles) commanded the 4th Detachment of pensioners 
of the Sir George Seymour, most of whom settled in Howick.
