Now, Let's talk about God. Did you know that God is Jehovah Nissi, which means he's out banner and he gives victory. In other words,, when Israel was in battle in Rephidim against the Amalek, God gave them victory and Moses built an altar as a memorial to that victory and name the place Jehovah Nissi which means, God gives victory. So really, when we need victory God becomes our Jehovah Nissi. But guess what? not only is God our Jehovah Nissi but he's our Jehovah Jireh as well. Jehovah Jireh means that the Lord sees and the Lord provides. You see, when Abraham was instructed by God to offer Isaac his only son as a burnt offering the bible says that, after seeing Abrahams faithfulness God provided a ram for the offering. Abraham called the name of that place where God provided Jehovah Jireh. Which means, God provides. Whatever we need God will provide. God can do this because he's Jehovah God as well, which means he who is, he who was, and he who will be. In other words, when God sent Moses to the children of Israel and Moses said to God who shall I say sent me? God said to Moses I AM hath sent you. What I'm saying is that, God is he who is, he who was, and he who will be. I think that says it all, but God is still more, because he's Jehovah Shalom. Which means that, he gives peace. I think that thats something that we all need. You see, when God told Gideon to go and save Israel from the Midianites, Gideon felt that he could not do it because of who he was but, an angel of the Lord showed him a sign that God was with him, and this gave Gideon peace. In other words, God is Jehovah Shalom. He gives us peace. How about that!!! Why dont you e-mail me and let me know what you think. |
