Brad sighed heavily as he curled his feet up under him on the
couch, tuning
into the latest episode. Of course, Greg was the rotating guest
and had been
taped right before their relationship hit the media...back in the
good old days.
It had been almost a month since he'd told Greg to leave, and he
still felt bad
about it. He felt even worse about what happened with Colin.
After he'd slept
off the hangover, now so very long ago, Colin had come
back...they'd ended
up fighting.
And now, he was alone. He'd spent over a week holed up in his
condo,
watching his library of every episode, picking out every minute
detail. At least
it was better than crying. And drinking, or eating.
He expected someone to come over or call soon; his friends knew
that the
grieving period was almost over. But he was on another planet
when he heard
the knock at his door.
"Brad?" Ryan's familiar yell pulled him out of his haze
and he went to the door.
A smile crossed his face when he saw Ryan, Colin, Wayne and Greg
at the door
dressed like teenagers.
"What's going on?" Brad smirked.
"Sit down." Colin commanded.
Brad took the direction and watched bemusedly as Ryan plugged in
a boom box
and all four took places, getting ready to dance apparently.
"1-2-3-4." Greg smirked, then they all began to dance,
mimicking the video to the
Boyzone hit "No Matter What". Then, Greg lip-synced as
the other three did back up.
--No Matter What by Boyzone
No matter what they tell us
No matter what they do
No matter what they teach us
What we believe is true
No matter how they call us
No matter how they attack
No matter where they take us
We'll find our own way back
I can't deny what I believe
I can't be what I'm not
I'll know our love forever
I know no matter what
If only tears were laughter
If only night was day
If only prayers were answered
Then we would hear god say
No matter what they tell you
No matter what they do
No matter what they teach you
What you believe is true
And I will keep you safe and strong
And sheltered from the storm
No matter where it's barren
A dream is being born
No matter who they follow
No matter where they lead
No matter how they judge us
I'll be everyone you need
No matter if the sun don't shine
(the sun don't shine)
Or if the skies are blue
(skies are blue)
No matter what the ending
My life began with you
I can't deny what I believe
(what I believe)
I can't be what I'm not
(I know I know)
I know this love's forever
That's all that matters now, no matter what
no no matter what..
no no matter what..
(no no matter that's all that matters to me)
Brad was laughing and fighting away the tears as they finished
the song and
posed, Greg kneeling a few feet away. "That...was..."
"Brad?" Greg looked up, the sweat dripping down his
forehead. "Will you
forgive me?"
Brad looked down at his hands and sighed, then looked into Greg's
soft eyes
and nodded.
Wayne heaved a sigh of relief, "Thank God...it took us
almost two weeks to
choreograph that!"
"I love you, you know that?" Greg sighed as Brad stood
and pulled him to his feet.
"I love you too." Brad pulled Greg into a soft kiss.
"And I'm sorry about the argument, I shouldn't have brought
up...the incident."
Colin shrugged, "I know how upset you were to begin
with."
Ryan pulled Colin into a kiss, "Sorry guys, he's mine."
Wayne shrugged, "So I guess things are back to normal?"
"Not really." Greg looked down, "If we're going to
stay together, I have to be
honest with you."
Wayne swallowed; he knew what was coming next.
Greg continued, "While we were split up, I...I slept with
Drew and Wayne."
"Greg..." Wayne looked away.
"No Wayne, he has to know." Greg looked into Brad's
brown eyes, "I
initiated it, and it didn't mean anything...but I thought you
should know."
"I...I'm glad you are being honest with me." Brad took
Greg's hands, "And
since we're airing all the dirty laundry, I want you to know that
you aren't the
only man in my life."
"What?" A devastated look came over Greg's face.
"I'm in love with Colin...and the only reason I'm not with
him is because of Ryan."
Brad finished, "And because of you."
Colin looked down as Ryan sighed. "I'm sorry Ryan...but I
picked you."
Ryan hugged Colin close, "It's okay, things happen, as long
as you still love me."
Wayne shrugged, and unplugged his boom box, then left. The
couples were
more than happy.
"Let's do it." Brad giggled.
"Uh-uh." Greg shook his head, collapsing to the couch,
"That dance was made
for teenage boys...not old men like me. I feel like I've been hit
with a steam roller."
"We hear ya." Colin collapsed into the armchair,
pulling Ryan onto his lap.
"Well fine then." Brad smirked, "I'll go make
lunch."
