Solihull Carol Singing Moneyspinner!
  posted 28-12-04
Members and supporters of Solihull Animal Aid were out in force in the run up to Christmas, raising money for local animal sanctuaries. For the tenth year running, on 2 consecutive Thursday evenings, Solihull`s Mell Square and High Street came alive with compassionate carol singers, tin shakers and their four legged friends!

A record turnout of over 50 people took part in either of the 2 x 2 hour sessions. As usual, Father Christmas walked round talking to young children about what they wanted for Christmas and offering them vegan biscuits and a 6 foot white rabbit helped with the collection.
A massive £941.17 was raised over the 2 days!! This will be shared amongst a variety of local sanctuaries and rescues, helping them to help animals.

Solihull Animal Aid would like to thank everyone who went along to help make the collections so successful, and of course all those who donated so generously!
If you missed this years festive fundraising, SAA looks forward to seeing you next year!

And remember, national and local campaigning groups and sanctuaries hold street collections across the Midlands, all year round. Why not get in touch with your
Local Group or national groups such as Animal Aid or Uncaged and find out when there`s a collection near you.
Happy New Year
