Newchurch Victory March & Rally

On Saturday 3 September 2005, campaigners from across the country descended on Burton on Trent to celebrate the forthcoming closure of Newchurch Guinea Pig Farm, announced by the owners 2 weeks earlier. Approx 300 campaigners browsed stalls, listened to inspiring speeches and then marched round the town centre streets. The first half the march was silent, in memory of the millions`s of innocent Newchurch guinea pigs tortured & murdered over the years. But the second half the march came alive with drumming, cheering, whistles, dancing through the street etc. It was a day that will never be forgotten by those that attended.
