Protest in Rugby outside builders of the new Oxford primate lab

On Wednesday, protesters held the first of what will become weekly demos outside RMC House in Rugby Town Centre. RMC are the multinational building contractors who are in the process of constructing the new animal torture lab at Oxford University. In Rugby, the RMC offices are next to a very busy traffic island in the middle of the town centre. Using a megaphone and a banner reading `stop the monkey death camp` protesters informed the people of Rugby of RMC`s disgraceful involvement in this new centre for animal suffering and murder.

In the 1.5 hours the protest lasted, thousands of people saw and heard the protest and many drivers displayed support by honking their horns. Dozens of RMC workers could be seen looking out the windows and in the foyer, no doubt surprised to learn that their company is profitting from the incarceration, mutilation and death of Oxford Uni`s innocent victims. Protesters intend to demo at RMC every week until they do the decent thing and totally sever their involvement with animal torture at Oxford.
