World Day for Lab Animals 2006
posted 27-4-06
On Saturday 22 April 2006, Oxford City Centre once again came alive with the sound of compassion as approx 1200 people joined a march and rally to mark World Day for Lab Animals. Coaches from every corner of the UK, including ours from the West Midlands, transported campaigners to what turned out to be the biggest demo to date against the building of the new animal torture centre.

If Oxford University and the government think for one minute that compassionate people are going to stand by and watch as they continue to construct a brand new death camp for animals, they can think again. This huge demo has reminded them just how many people are prepared to voice their disgust on the streets, despite new laws limiting our rights, being brought in every 5 mniutes. And we speak on behalf of the many millions of people in this country who are equally disgusted by the
horrific suffering involved, people who also become more aware every day of the fraudulent nature of so called `safety testing` drugs on animals. The truth about animal testing is becoming public knowledge like never before, and the government can`t silence the truth no matter how hard they try!!
