More Awesome Pictures of my Beloved Cocker Spaniel, Tamarah
This picture was taken just before Tammy began to show any Cancer symptoms. She was in her bed, half-napping. She loved to bury her head in the edge like that, and she looks absolutely tender and vulnerable here.
My adorable baby, ca. 1987. We had the chair she's on covered with the blanket, because she would get up on the chair to look out the window. One afternoon my sister wrapped her up in the blanket, and she actually stayed still long enough for her to snap the picture. She's just too adorable!
For the majority of her 13 years, this is how she slept: on my bed, on my pillow, in the same position as me (face down). She already had Cancer in this picture, it was taken after her surgery. She was so weak at this point I would have to carry her onto the bed, and she would settle into her favorite position, and even till the very end, whenever I would slip in beside her, she would proceed to spread herself out and hog up the entire bed.
I hope my dad forgives me for showing his ass to the world, but I HAD TO put in this picture because it captures the essence of Tammy. She is best remembered for this: sitting and begging for food. This is so classic. Since she was a puppy, this is what she would do any time anyone entered the kitchen. As the picture well shows, we were obviously quite indulgent, as she is quite fat here. She was about 4 or 5 years old in this picture, and she actually spent most of her life being overweight. She slimmed down in her later years, but she never gave this habit up. Months after she died, we were still dropping little pieces of food from the table to the floor, that's how well-trained she had us.
