General Meeting 5/10/2005
At the May 10,2005 General Meeting, Councilman Chris Roberts spoke on issues concerning the progress of Parish projects affecting WOCA residents.  Among the topics dicussed were the lawsuit involving  the golf course property,  the noise surrounding the new floodgate development, and the progress of the R.O.W for the east side of the Harvey Canal floodwall.  Councilman Roberts assured us that we would be kept in the loop as much as possible as the issue with the Golf Course evolves.

Golf course issues still of concern to the Woodland West residents are :
1) Lot sizes, Rear lot servitudes 
2) Drainage (Rear lots, )
3) Traffic Congestion - Vulcan & Lapalco
4) Construction mitigation plans
5) Environmental Impact
6) Damage to existing streets and homes
7) Information from FEMA
8) Variance from the Neighborhood norms

WOCA has reformed the Civic Association and aligned with the coalition of associations for West Jefferson.   

Please encourage your friends and neighbors to join WOCA. A strong Community is our goal.  A safe Community is our purpose.
