What is this form and what does it have to do with me?
All WOC activities are coordinated by members - we have no paid trip leaders. Without members volunteering to coordinate activities, there would be no activities in the newsletter. Therefore, we ask you to try to coordinate at least one activity each year. This form is the reminder that we need your help to keep WOC a fun and vital club.
How do I coordinate an activity?
Coordinating an activity is easy, just decide what you would like to do and pick a date and time. The activity is then posted in the newsletter and you get calls from lots of nice women. The form makes it easy for you to put together the details and announcement for the newsletter. WOC also has an Activity Coordination Guide and experienced members who would be happy to help you.
What if someone gets hurt, would I be responsible?
All WOC activities are conducted on a "common adventure" basis. That means each individual is responsible for her own safety and well being. Decisions regarding unsafe situations should be made by all participants on a consensus basis.
What if no one signs up for my activity?
If not enough people have signed up for the activity within 48 hours of the start time, you have the option of canceling.
What if someone asks to bring a dog or kids?
WOC's official policy is that no dogs or children are allowed on activities unless the coordinator specifically states on the activity announcement that they are welcome.
