ELSIE MABLE CROSBY b. August 7th 1886 |
It is very difficult to write on one short page about such a Great Lady as my grandmother, Elsie M. Crosby. She left us all a book of her life and a book of peoms, which told of all the wonderful things she saw come to pass. She made us dolls, clothes and toy animals. Grandma loved her crossword puzzles and loved to sew for charity. If given the time I will try to add grandma's peoms to this web site. For she ment for us to share them with family and friends. Each and every one of her children, grandchildren, great and great-great and more have learned these wonderful peoms. We have shared them in school and with friends. Grandma was the daughter of Horace Sidney Crosby and Adda Kingdon. She was one of five children. They came out to the West from Colorado in a covered wagon. She told us of her many adventures and how she and her sisters hid from the Indians, under a quilt in the wagon. For they had heard the stories and were not taking any chances. Grandma had FIVE children. Her father was Horace Sidney Crosby, and mother was Adda Kingdon-Crosby. |
