| Henrietta's mother, Samantha is listed on the 1880 census with her husband William "Henry" Anderson and is 24 yrs. old, making her born abt. 1856. They lived in Limestone co., TX in 1880 and it shows her birthplace as Texas. Henry Anderson and Samantha Thacker Anderson had: 1. David born in 1878, 2. Susan born in 1880 and 3. Henrietta, "Nettie" born March 2, 1882. There were probably other children, but these are all I know of at this time. David and Susan are on the 1880 census. Nettie Anderson married Joseph Henderson when she was not quite 13 yrs. old in 1895. Their first child, Lemma Mae was born Dec 21, 1896 in Mexia, Limestone Co., TX. Lemma Mae Henderson married Thomas B. Hart...a Baptist preacher. Nettie died in Wilson, OK Aug 20, 1970 and is buried next to her husband in Walters, OK. She died at 88 yrs. old. At 80 she reroofed her house. She was quite a lady. I would be interested in anything more you find out about the Indian heritage of this family. Info from: Ginger and Jimmy Hart |
