Cambodia
One of my earlist trips in Asia was 1996 to Cambodia, a country that was just recovering from years of war and civil unrest. I seldom experienced cultural and environmental enchantment in direct contrast to the reminders of human cruelty and suffering as intense as on this trip.
A new friend: Having lost his entire family, Bartang as many others managed to make a new start in life.
A country consistent of human bones: Survivors of the 'Killing Fields' period created this monument of human misery.
A palace and its mirrow image.
The magnificence of Ankor Wat: After centuries forgotten in the jungle, the legacy of an ancient empire.
