Jeff's Update:

January-April 2001

After a lengthy hiatus and a bit of procrastination, I'm finally updating the WebSite. After I finish this section I'll begin to update each section with more recent information. But, here's what I've been up to...

My Life

First, and most important, my family and I finally moved into our condominium in Alexandria Virginia in mid-February. It was a long wait but it finally happened, in fact we have been living Virginia for one year now, which is simply impossible to believe. Unfortunately, my room and the dining room are really the only rooms that are completed (with furniture I mean).

I think we've made about five trips to IKEA in order to get my room finished. I had sold my bedroom set, not including my bed, before moving so I had a bed for furniture. Luckily, I didn't need a dresser because I have a pretty big closet. Also, after moving our stuff 15 miles to our new home, we discovered that my television no longer worked so I'm currently in search of a new one which is no easy task. I never realized how complicated a television set could be. I would really like to know, who on earth actually uses picture-in-picture? There isn't enough to watch anyway.

We had a wonderful time in Florida over Christmas. It was nice to get out of our crowded temporary apartment. Nothing exciting happened, but a good time was had by all. I'm currently working on an article about our trip for a WebSite (Gimp on the Go) and I will be sure to let you know when it is available.

Since moving we haven't had the chance to visit Washington D.C. and all of the other attractions quite as frequently anymore. But, we have made it to a few.

We visited the Corcoran Gallery of Art to see a Wayne Theibaud exhibit and an Andy Warhol exhibit. Both were very interesting. We also attended a Theibaud exhibit at the The Philips Collection in Northwest Washington.

My mom and I went to see the cherry blossoms on a beautiful day, March 29, the only day the blossoms were out without rain. I never realized how popular the National Cherry Blossom Festival actually was, but it was surprisingly easy to get around. We were fortunate to find a perfect parking space even with all of the tourists and school groups.
