Let's get right down to business. Euphemisms are politically correct and/or self-ingratiating words used to substitute otherwise "boring" or "degrading" phrases. Enough said. Let's get down to business. Here are some of the euphemisms I can think of that annoy me.
Sex Industry: When I think about the concept and/or word of "sex," I don't picture big buildings with smoke stacks coming out of them. So what's with this strange arrangement of words? I'm not really sure if this is a "true" euphemism, but still, if they can call a business whose wares include fake penises and "erotic" videos an "Industry," then I'm sure it's a description along the lines of a euphemism at least.
