Don't let 'em tell you wolfdogs can't be trained...they can learn commands, they can walk on leash (& love it!), they can have manners and be civil with you & each other over food. (Don't expect them to stop shredding your stuff anytime soon though, that's a tough one. ;)
A good "nothing in life is free" program is essential to well mannered wolfers & civil dining.  :) Hand feeding is also a great big plus--especially if you feed raw. (And no, it's not mandatory for many wolfdogs to have raw meat...but if your animal is of midrange or high content and has chronic diarrhea on DOG kibble, don't say we didn't warn you!)
Wolfers should be trained to "sit" for their dinner from Day 1. They can learn it reliably as early as 4 wks old.
What's good for puppies.........................is good for adults
Don't let 'em tell you you can't have a wolfdog in the house, either. (Though if a full time house wolf is your goal, you're better off with a low content. It's the "destructive" thing again.) Some wolfers will eventually want to be outdoors alot, no matter what you do--but most will adapt to the way they are raised. Anecdotal evidence suggests that wolfdogs who are at least part-time house animals seem to have less behavioural problems in some areas--they are an integral part of the family, rather than having their own turf (their pen) while you have yours (the house). BUT--that's a decision you & your wd need to make.
