Job 9:22-23:
"...[God] destroys both the blameless and the wicked.
When a scourge brings sudden death, he mocks the
despair of the innocent." (i.e. laughs at the
suffering of the victim) |

Lamentations 3:37-38:
"Who has commanded and it came to pass, unless the
Lord has ordained it? Is it not from the mouth of the
Most High that good and evil come?"(This one speaks for itself.)

Exodus 21:2-7.
"If you buy a Hebrew slave, he shall serve for six years; but on the seventh he shall go out as a free man without payment. "If he comes alone, he shall go out alone; if he is the husband of a wife, then his wife shall go out with him. "If his master gives him a wife, and she bears him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall belong to her master, and he shall go out alone. "But if the slave plainly says, 'I love my master, my wife and my children; I will not go out as a free man,' then his master shall bring him to God, then he shall bring him to the door or the doorpost. And his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him permanently. If a man sells his daughter as a female slave, she is not to go free as the male slaves do.
(So slavery IS ok, please.....)

Deut. 23:1 tells us that a man whose testicles are crushed may not enter the assembly of the Lord. Should we set up an inspection station at the church doors, asking everybody to drop their drawers for inspection, so we can keep injured people out? Or should we just pretend this verse isn't there?

Exodus 21:2-7.
Num. 5:12-31, tells us that if we suspect our wife has commited adultery, she is to be tested by making her drink water mixed with dirt. If she gets sick, she is guilty. Do you recommend that we implement this test procedure? Interestingly, there is no such test given for men. Is this fair?
