He's very healthy but for one chronic condition: asthma.
He was born in 1992, and in 1995 developed a pronounced wheeze. I took him to more than one vet before he was helped. His chest x-ray showed asthma, and he was begun on Prednisone 5mg every other day. A few years later, his asthma worsened. The vet added SloBid 50mg daily to the Prednisone. After we moved to the Atlanta area, his asthma worsened again. His new vet put him on Accolate and Brethine, plus the same Prednisone dosage. Since then, he's been fine.
Blondie is a very benevolent King of the Pride to the Conrad cat clan. If any play-tussling gets out of hand, he's there instantly, meowing authoritatively til tempers cool. He guards the place, yowling loudly if any unauthorized critters (or humans) are in the yard.
He'll melt your heart with those limpid green eyes. His hobbies are sleeping on my pillow with his chin on my head, keeping BabyJack in line and protecting his womenfolk.
