At a crucial point in history when Information technology is a primary tool for reinforcing cultures discriminatory to women, it also in many ways brings with it the promise of leveling the playing field. In communication, it is a strategic tool for transforming the same culture that limits women's roles, options and identities.

Our website is a work in progress. But our goal is to reach wider audiences, provide opportunities for interaction, discussion and exchange on a broad range of women's issues.

At present, the website is a gateway to Womenlead. It introduces the women behind Womenlead as well as the institution itself. It provides frequent updates about Womenlead's activities as well as the chance to participate in ongoing forums on raging women's issues. In the future, Womenlead hopes the site will also be a searchable database for like minded advocates who will use the resources in women's human rights advocacy, particularly in the area of litigation and legal advocacy.
