Lezhike Lesbian Hiking Group of Southeast Michigan ABOUT THE GROUP Jen started Lezhike in July 1999. More than 100 women are on the e-mail list. We hike year-round, usually every other weekend in southeast Michigan. Six to 21 women of all ages and backgrounds (including newcomers each time) show up from all over. Bring water, snacks, and dress for the weather. IN CASE O' RAIN OR OTHER CRAPPISH WEATHER If it's raining before the hike, we probably won't go. In questionable weather, you can call this cell phone number, (734) 223-7019, to see if the hike's going to take place. We'll be hiking through woods on dirt paths. These events are always come and go as you please. Someone will start the hike at 10 a.m. unless she's ill or encounters another obstacle; after that, the speed, length and whether to go to lunch are up to each individual. Hikes usually take at least an hour; sometimes longer. Hikers usually break up into groups by hiking speed, so all paces are usually OK.
