When I was younger, I always dreamed of becoming a teacher. Everyone always told me it was something I'd be good at, and it was always something I liked to do. Then one day I had a depressing thought: being a teacher meant I'd be in school for the next 30 years, at the least! After a great deal of thought I changed my mind and decided I want to go into therapuetic massage. It's something I am very good at, it's better money, and I bet I'd meet some pretty interesting people. I may go back to school later in life to become a teacher, since English and writing are two of my life's passions. I'm spontaneous, so I never know what I'm doing.
After three long, painful years, I finally quit Frank's Nursery & Crafts. I currently work for AVI Foodsystems as the General Manager of Retail Dining at the University of Toledo. It's more money, better hours, nicer people, and I don't have to touch fertilizer or worry about forgetting to give someone their whopping 10% discount on Senior Citizen Wednesdays. The account I was training at was really great...it's where I started 5 years ago when I worked part time for the company. I worked third shift at the time, and when I came back as management some of the girls STILL WORKED THERE! Trippy! At UT, things are a bit more complicated because I deal with the Union, which I don't have a lot of experience in that field. I put up with a lot of crap, but I feel like I'm getting things under control. I'm a lot happier since I've left Frank's. People have even commented that my whole attitude has changed, and I seem a lot happier. That's because I am! Life is peachy!
To go back to school.
To find true love (as Julia Roberts would say in Pretty Woman, "I want the fairy tale.")
To get my belly button pierced.
To learn to sew.
To learn to play the guitar.
And to be happy.
Hop on back to my pad
