| Our Purpose The Northwest Alabama Christian Home Educators Association was created and functions as an umbrella organization for all Church/School Coverings and support groups in the Northwest Alabama geographical area. It is through this organization that we are presented to Homeschool Legal Defense for membership. Our purpose, and indeed the very heart of our association is well defined in Colossians 2:2-8: "My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments. For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how orderly you are and how firm your faith in Christ is. So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ." |
| Membership: Cost: A $15. donation annually helps underwrite the cost for "A Note from Home" newsletter subscription. Benefits: Yearly subscription to "A Note from Home", use of homeschool libraries (2), activities and events. Support and fellowship at "Mom's Night Out!" E-mail list for special announcements and information that comes up during the month. Newsletter: Available on a monthly basis at "Mom's Night Out!" or through your church/school legal covering in the state of Alabama, or by regular mail. Includes listing of local coverings and support groups, sporting activities, special events, a calendar of monthly events, internet links of interest and an insert article from "Provender...Food for Your Soul".
