My most recent projects for 1999

We decided it was time to put a deck on the back of the house to prepare the space for the Conservatory which we had been dreaming of for over two years.  Our builder framed the deck as he had done with the porch for the front of the house, but that still left me having to finish it up with deck boards, add the railings and stairs, and whatever I decide on.

The deck boards are on in time for the winter and the plans for the stairs are in the works, but there will be no time to finish that part til the Spring of 2000.  Still, a lot was accomplished when we consider the size of this deck that begins at the side entrance to the house and wraps around the back.  The side platform extends 6' out from the house and runs 20' past the corner of the house to the back.  The deck in back is 30' long adjacent to the house and extends 20' into the back, running right into the entrance to the woods.
