"Luv Thy Neighbor" Program Comes to City
The Southwest Airline Culture Club has chosen a Woodson Terrace resident to benefit from their LUV THY NEIGHBOR Program.

The Club's 50 volunteers donated their time and talent recently to make improvements to a home in the 9800 block of Corregidor. The repairs included painting, new storm doors, removal of an old above ground pool and landscaping.

Southwest Airlines employees and the Woodson Terrace Business Association teamed up to raise the money needed to purchase the materials. The Culture Club donated the labor.

Dotty Wrightsman of Sh-Booms and John and Eve Dunn of Homestyle Catering provided refreshments for the workers.

Woodson Terrace Days Draws Crowd

Woodson Terrace Days 2001 was recently held at John L. Brown Park. The weekend event is sponsored by the Woodson Terrace Business Association.

A co-ed softball tournament, craft booths, a custom car and truck show, food and live music drew thousands to the park. The Grand Prize was a raffle for two round trip airline tickets, courtesy of American Airlines. Other prizes were also awarded through the raffle.
