						ANNIE LA PAZ by BLITZ  MAGAZINE
			To tell you who La Paz are easy enough. Annie Britten and Lucy Morahan,  thatīs who.  But to tell you what they are is a little more difficult ..... How would they describe themselves ?   ''We're stage, set, and interior designers ...''  begins Lucy. ''Basically anything visually related to music'',  adds Annie.  '' Record sleeves, to what the band wear, to what they appear in front of,  and even where they appear ...''' Their work can be seen at the Royalty,  in Southgate;  in videos of Animal Nightlife and Blue Rondo a la Turk. Although their career may seem to be a planned assault on the muic world,  it is not one which came from a conscious decision set up  a business. The pair met whilst at Hornsey Art College.  Annie was trying to arrange a birthday party with several classmates but was depressed by their complacency.  ''All they wanted was just a big booze-up.  I wanted a real number of a party ... an event'' Annie decided to call herself Annie La Paz for the night.
