				The gorgeous Biddie is a singer and actor who did his first professional drag in April Ashle's restaurant AD8,  doing  'a cabaret act'   as a very English lady - a Joyce Grefell type - singing When Swallows Come Back To Sorrento in very big hats.  It was downhill from there on !   But I'd rather do it for fun than for work;  it's not so much being dragged up on your own.  There's a whole gang of us who forck up and go out together.  We had a wonderful day out on a TV/TS boat trip - we were the cross-Channel cross-dressers.  I went as Maria Celete.  The boat broke down at Tower Bridge, and we had to be lashed onto another pleasure cruiser and towed back to share.  You should have seen the faces of the passengers on the other boat when somebody shouted 'They're all fellas!"  They let us off our boats separately,  in case there was any trouble, and a large groupe of us entertained  a groupe of Swedish tourists on the tube all teh way home.' According to Biddie, ' one of the nicest things about putting on drag is taking it off again at the end of the night.  You get home and the fishnets have marked your legs and your feet hurt and you begin peeling off the lashes and you think  'Thank Chirst that's over'  and then you wonder why you did it.  Until the next time ...
