Word of Life Christian Center

Currently, Xtreme Leaders are planning an outreach event that will be held on May 14th. Lamar, a Christian rapper from Mass. is going to be performing live! He has toured with many of the big names including a new tour this summer with Bobby Bishop. We had the pleasure of seeing him last year at SoulFest and some of the kids in the Youth group got to meet him shortly after his show. Roger Proulx is going to be a special guest speaker that night as well. I am really looking forward to see both of these great men of God and see how God uses this event in a mighty way! We will also be having a hip-hop dance contest with DeeJayed music. DJ Blessed Hands will be coming with Lamar and hosting the dance contest. The winner of the contest will be winning a cash prize of $100 and some other great things like gift certificates, 3 free classes at River City Dance in Bangor and more. Tickets are $10 in advanced and $12 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at any Bull Moose location or by calling 945-4051. Be listening to 105.7 "The X" and B97 for your chances to win free tickets to the event! Snacks will be at the event which will be included with the ticket price until the food is gone and there will be door prizes at the event. Hope to see you there! FMI call 942-0092 and ask for Rob.

Our Youth Ministry is on it's way! We are pleased to announce our cutting edge Youth Ministry exclusively named XL. May 28th we had our first ever kick-off event!. Congratulations to Cash Keeser who won $100 in a basketball tournament. Three bands including Single Mission, Nealleys Corner and Fighting the Fall performed in the rain and rocked the Bangor park. Water balloon volleyball and other great games were enjoyed with a outdoor BBQ. XL has been now meeting reguraly on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm. We would love for you to come so we can meet you! Ages attending are 12-18. If you have any questions please contact the Youth Pastor Rob McGowan at 942-0092.

This summer we had the privledge of seeing Skillet live in concert and it was awesome!!! The show was sold out and it was packed! Skillet came out on stage with guitars flying and the crowd screaming! I say guitars flying because the singer, who also plays bass, throws his bass in a circle around his head while he's playing!!!! King Pin Wrecking Crew, a band from Portland, opened up for Skillet. King Pin did an awesome job despite technical difficulties. They are seasoned band who I expect to see big things from. I encourage anyone to go see a show or invite them to your Church/Youth Group.
