Cloudless blue sky

Green leafy branches

Swaying in the mirror

Of glittering raindrop patches

On the shimmering silver seats.

In the distance

Black shiny roofs

On tiny brick boxes

Sit on the clovery ground.

Yellow cylinders are alone

Filled with fancy printed empty packets

Under the shade

Of the Silky Oaks.

Rough, dry bark

Starts to peel.

A metal hoop placed up high

Is waiting for a basketball

To be shot through.

Rough edged pieces of earth

Scattered over the damp ground.

Lonely, bare, tall stick figure

Waiting for Summer to come.

Leaves blowing down....down

Brown, orange, green

The colours of Autumn at our school
