You Forgot To See
By: Jami Lynn
I sit in my corner, I don't say a word
You think I'm crazy, I think you're absurd
We sit together but neither of us tries
As long as we are silent, we'll tell no lies
You look at me like I've lost my mind
I look at you, wishing you had one to find
We are strangers, in a familiar place
We search each other, memorizing a face
You know who I am, I know who you were
To who you think I am, I will defer
No one will know, no one will see
Just what kind of monster you've created inside of me
I'll take my bows and leave right now
Your faith in me, I cannot allow
So until you forget about me
I'll be the faceless wonder, you forgot to see.
