Extensity is a software company that creates a multi-tiered, java-based Application Suite for Enterprise Expense and Business Performance Management. Joined pre-IPO (less than 15 employees in Professional Services, less than 100 employees total) and helped grow the Professional Services Organization to over 50 employees.

Heavily involved in Extensity’s Product Development Process, working with cross-functional teams (Sales, Business Development, Services, Support, Engineering, QA, Product Marketing, Hosted Operations) and flagship customers to: develop external and internal design specifications for Extensity products/releases, address and resolve product defects and enhancements, streamline internal practices and processes (sales engineering, training, documentation, implementation practices), and train/mentor new employees and implementation partners.

Worked in both Professional Services and Development in various capacities, including Client/Project Management, Product Development, and Operations. Managed multiple Client engagements leading a small team of consultants through the entire implementation cycle. Provided consulting services to assist current customers and prospects in streamlining and enhancing internal business processes and workflow using Extensity applications and integrated solutions. Responsible for consultant and customer training, scheduling/managing resources, defining statements of work, project planning and scoping, systems configuration, ERP systems interfaces, quality assurance, application deployment and support, and maintaining client communications to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Reported to IS Manager and CFO. Assisted in management of financial databases and application development for UCSF’s largest department. Analyzed/developed/supported integration of databases with client/server and intranet web applications in a cross-platform, multi-protocol environment (Win95/NT, MacOS, Unix). Also Systems/Network/Database/Web Administrator for LAN.

06/97 - 12/97 Internet Business Solutions – Mt. View, California

IS Manager / Systems Administrator

Managed all IS/IT functions for small Internet Startup that focused on Web Development/Hosting Operations solutions for small-to-medium sized companies. Setup/administered Unix production and development servers for over 500 domains and 300 Web sites. Worked with several ISPs regarding WAN, data center, and web hosting issues. Provided technical support for in-house programmers, developers, sales staff, as well as over 200 customers. Researched new software and hardware for Web content and development.
