Moon
Head-Dresses Requirements: 5
inch x 5 inch square of white felt Fabric
glue 2
yards quarter inch ribbon Fabric
paint (optional) Sequins
(optional) Glitter
(optional) Instructions: Trace
the required pattern onto thin card. Lay pattern onto the felt and trace
around it. You need two pattern pieces, one for the front and one for the
back. Now
cut out both pieces. Mark
the two small cutting lines onto the back piece. Cut them carefully. Thread
the ribbon through the cuts and position it equally. (These are your ties) Cover
the back with fabric glue and place the back and fronts together. This
will hold the ribbon firmly in place. Once
the glue is dried you can decorate the front if you wish. Fabric paints
come in all sorts of white, shimmery, opal and silvers. A touch of fabric
glue will hold sequins in place or glitter. Once
your head-dress is finished, place on your forehead and tie the ribbon at
the back of your head. Wear for your next Esbat (Full Moon Ritual) and
enjoy! Blessed
Be! The
Female version of the Moon Head-Dress
shows the three phases of the Moon, waxing, full and waning and
thus represents the triple Goddess of Maiden, Mother and Crone.
