Ed Strada Jr. picked up the time shortened Modified feature win. Ed who started on the outside poll battled with Gary Griffin for the lead and grabbed it from him. The two crafty veterans of the track wasted no time pulling away from the pack. However on a restart Gary was able to get by Ed for the lead but that wouldn't last long as the caution flew and on the following restart Ed jumped back into the lead. Strada's new Bicknell was just too much for Griffin and the rest of the field. Ralph Mele shows everyone he is the man to beat as the defending champ picks up another win. Jim Kleedorfer held the early lead until Ted Stout darted his way into the lead. Ted looked very strong and held the lead for the majoritiy of the race. Brad Grammes gave Ted a few good runs for the lead but Ted held his own and managed to stay out front. Slowy and surely Ralph Mele was on the prwol. Starting in lucky spot 13 his worked his way through the field and found himself second in the clkosing stages of the race. With just over a handful of laps left Ralph jumped gave Ted a challenge and was able to find a way around Stout for the lead and eventual win. A solid run for newcomer Chris Clemons who started way back in 16th and managed to stay out of trouble and finish a solid 5th. Floyd Schmidt picked up his first win of the year in the pure stock division. Floyd started on the pole and held over all chalklenges from Ira Landrum to record the win. Landrum started second and pressured Schmidt most of the race but Schmidt would not make a mistake and came home with the victory. An impressive run from Tom Cilurso who started last and finished 3rd. Terry Schaffer came through the field and held of hard charges from Richie Hartman and Randy West. It was a hard fought way to the front and once Scahffer was there he didn't relinquish it. Hartman and West both had hard fights to get to the front but they couldn't make the final pass to beat Schaffer.
