| WCG Point Scoring and Ranking Process |
| WCG rankings are based on the average number of WCG points earned per game by players over the previous six months. At the end of a calendar month WCG rankings are amended to include the last six months only. ie. During May, results from 1 November to 30 April inclusive plus any May results are included in ranking calculations. From 1 June the results from November are excluded from ranking calculations. The following points are awarded for official WCG games. A game must have at least three WCG players to be official. |

| If players do not partcipate in the three most recent official WCG games they receive a non-participation penalty of 0.1 deducted from their overall average. This penalty increases by 0.1 for each game not played. ie. If Simmo has an average of 1.58 but has not played in at least one of the three most recent WCG games (Games 1, 2 and 3) his average will fall by 0.1 to 1.48. If he does not play in the next offical game (Game 4) his average will fall by another 0.1 to 1.38. All non-participation penalties are removed if a player participates in an offical WCG game. ie. Continuing the above example if Simmo plays in Game 5 his average returns to 1.58 and is then adjusted for what points he does or doesn't score in Game 5. |
