UNMATA is a modern Bellydance troupe from Sacramento, California, founded in 2003 by Artistic Director and WORLD Studio Owner, AMY SIGIL. UNMATA, a Sankrit word meaning "divine inebriation", is a collection of urban tumbleweeds inspired and dedicated to the art of fusion in dance. UNMATA performs modern interpretations of various forms of dance including Hula, Bharat Natyam, Flamenco, Modern, Jazz, and of course Bellydance.
