Alright guys, I have some good news regarding my puter... well, sorta. My old one is pretty much useless to me, sooooo... I got a new one! It's on its way at the moment, so I should recieve it fairly soon. It's twice as fast as my old one and I'll be getting a nice video card for it as well so I can play with the games I got for my b-day. So, I'm happy that I'll finally have a working puter... and a good one at that. This one I'll be able to actually Upgrade! *gasp* Word to the wise... don't buy foriegn puters, it's a pain. Anyways... soon I'll get a new puter... get it all set up, and we can once again return to our usual stops at the inn and host a quest or two. :) I'll keep ya posted.

I also wanna wish my sister a happy birthday today! Love ya sis! Have a good one.

Hiyas all. Well, lemme give you some more updates on current events in our ever busy household. Austin has been playing nearly non-stop with his Xbox since he got it, and I have to say it's a pretty nice system. There was one small mishap when we first got it though. We were forced to return the system because it wouldn't play Halo for some odd reason. We also had a faulty RFU adaptor, which we returned and got yet another one that didn't seem to work. However, once we returned the Xbox and got a new one, Halo worked just fine as did the rest of the games. We have yet to try the adaptor, for fear it may have been the cause of the previous Xbox trouble... who knows. But as for the games, they've all been pretty nifty. I'm not the avid gamer that Austin is, but I've still had fun. Lemme give ya some opinions and insights to some of the games.

First off is Halo. It's an awesome game, and if you love first person shooters you should definitely get it. The controls take some getting used to at first, but they're pretty nice once you get them down. The story is pretty interesting and the settings are quite amazing. The variety of weapons and vehicles is very nice. Driving a tank can be a bit frustrating, but having your friend in the gunner can be a blast (pardon the pun), hehehe. Definitely worth a look see. Austin and our friend Dan just recently beat it in two-person mode which was very fun to watch. Interesting ending... makes me curious what the other endings are since there are other ones for each dificulty level.

Next up, Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I loved the original Oddworld, even though I never finished it. This one is just as beautifully done with spectacular settings that seem never ending. The characters are tricky to control, but have some neat moves. Munch is very cool with his fuzzle friends. And if you're like me and never finished the first one, or if you haven't played it before, it gives you a section where you can get all the backstory which is very handy. You can switch off as Abe and Munch once they get together and help each other get by obsticals during your quest to save your species. It's a lot of fun and I highly recommend it. :)

Dead or Alive: 3. Now this game is truly awesome. I love all the new moves and characters, and the settings are simply beautiful. The attention to detail is amazing as you look at the character's faces, their hair, the leaves and water around them... wow. If you love fighting games, this one beats them all. And I must say, watching the drunken boxer is very funny. Hehehe.

Shrek was one of the few "okay" games we got. It'd probably be a lot of fun for kids to play with since there isn't a whole lot of complicated things to do. It's basically a bunch of side-quests... that's it. It's fun to play, don't get me wrong, but it just doesn't hold your attention very long.

NFL Fever 2002 is a great football game, and I'm not even a huge sports fan. I haven't played a football game since Troy Aikman for the Sega Genesis, but this one brought back some good memories. The handling and control is great and it makes for a fantastic party game. Get all your buds over for this one and you can either all play as one team, or play against each other. It's a ton of fun.

Well, that's all for now game wise. I'll be sure and let you know how any others are once we play them. Austin recently traded in Shrek for Project Gotham Racing, but we have yet to try it out. Once we do, I'll let ya know how it is. ;) Aside from Xbox gaming there's been other stuff goin' on around our house. It's gettin' near the end of the quarter for me, and you know what that means... papers! Ewwwwwwwww. Yes, that scourge of all school-dom, the essay. And with my puter STILL not working correctly, it will be even more of a challenge. Alas, I shall survive... I hope.

On a better note, I get to pcik up my new kitten today, yaaaaaaay! My little "Mystic" shall be joining the family soon today after I pick him up from being fixed at the local SPCA. I finally get to bond with him and he's gonna be all dopey... ah well, lol. I can't wait to bring him home. And I'll have lots of time to bond with him since it's Thanksgiving weekend, woohoo! No school tomorrow... or today for that matter since I only had one class which I skipped so I could pick up Mystic. I love long weekends. :)

Hope you all have a very happy Thanksgiving! You're all in my personal Thanks for being here and supporting IF and Pria. We love you all! Take care. :)
