Lost Love

When our love has dried out and fade
And we find strength to stop our charade
Will it ever pass away
In the light of day?

Shall the love die at last,
Can we forgot ourselves and the past?
This I wonder to you my lost.
Let bitter rain and terrible frost
Descend from darkest skies
Wash the pain and freeze the lies.

For once I gave you my heart unsung
But it was written not before long
A dreaded finger carved its name
Making me sing of lust and fame.

My ways you loved and cherished
Have made you withered and perished
Neither care nor compassion I gave to you
Nothing I would do.

Let me hate and feel it to feed upon.
I let you struggle to be strangled from thereon.

But at least my once called sweet I called thee
Will you suffer together with me?
