#Astrophysics was set up as a neutral meeting ground for all interested in knowledge. Despite the name, #Astrophysics has many members who do not have any specific interest in Astrophysics itself, and some who do not even have a specific interest in Science.
There is no such thing as an absolute truth, Everything is Relative to Perspective; and as such, be it achievable, there is no one-absolute path to omniscience.
#Astrophysics welcomes anybody willing to learn and help others learn - for it is only through communication that we may ever acheive our goal.
Everybody is entitled to chat with their freedom of speech uninhibited though with this right reasonable restricted to not offending others.
If any Member or Patron of #Astrophysics offends any other, they are to apologize immediately. The apology should be primarily for causing offence to the other Member/Partron. Unless abusive, the apology does not have to be for the content of their speech, nor need they recant what they said.
If a comment somebody on #Astrophysics passes offends you, and they do not apologise, ask for an apology from them. If the person refusese to apologize:
- Members: kick the person as a warning, ban them if they return and again refuse to apologize.
- Patrons: request a Member uses their authority to enforce an apology from the perpitrator.
All apologies are to be genuine.
If you believe something will unnecessarily offend somebody, do not say it.
Members are not to ban Members. If necessary, suspend them and refer the issue to a Member with an access level of at least 190.
Members with an access level less than 190 are not to delete other Members.
Members have the right to kick and ban at their discression.
