Peter Jackson's first film is a nonstop gorefest.
The plot, what little there is, centers around four guys who are trying to stop an alien invasion of New Zealand. So basically, the movie is these guys running around killing poor bastards in disgusting ways.
It's all very entertaining, but I didn't like it nearly as much as Dead Alive. Maybe I should've seen this one first.
Anyway, some things to look out for include an exploding sheep, the character of Frank having to drink vomit, and aliens that look like Richard Nixon. It's all treated with humor, like when Derek, played by Jackson, falls off a cliff. It doesn't kill him, but part of his brain keeps falling out, and he must think of creative ways to keep it in his head.
