Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the 13th
copyright 2000
This is an ultra lame parody of the post-modern teen slasher genre, which itself sucks balls.

Five kids (all unknowns) star as the teens being stalked by The Killer.  The D-List celebs on the box cover get top billing despite hardly being in the movie.  Shirley Jones has one scene and Coolio has two.  He plays the Administrator formerly known as Principle in possibly the most homocentric gag of the movie.

Most of the gags in the film aren't really gags.  They are just references.  Such as, a character says, "Hey Chucky!" and a kid dressed like the killer doll walks by.  That's not really a joke, is it?  There's another scene where the kids walk in slow-motion, a la
Reservoir Dogs, but it isn't funny because there's no real reason for it to be occuring.  They do the same gag in Swingers, but it was hilarious there because they'd just been talking about how movies rip off Tarantino.  The references in this movie aren't funny, and the gags that are gags fall flat.

Shockingly, the only thing that saves this movie from getting the Carrot Top is Tom Arnold.  Yes, that Tom Arnold.  He's not all that funny in the movie, but he seemed to be the only actor having any fun.  Everyone else played their roles pretty straight, and with jokes as piss poor as the ones in this movie, they really shouldn't have.

On a sidenote, I didn't much like
Scary Movie either.  While it had a lot more laughs than Shriek..., it wasn't that great of a movie.  The Usual Suspects ending really saved it.  Also, there were more penises in that movie than in ten minutes of Debbie Does Dallas.
0 out of 5.
There's no way in hell you're gonna laugh at anything in this movie.  I'd pass a stone before seeing this again.
