Protecting Private Property Rights

Through Action...

We need new leadership in Centre County Government -  leaders willing to stand up for our rights - not panderers to environmental causes.

Its time for Worth Township Republicans to wake up and hold Republican Commissioner Connie Lucas responsible for her support of the never ending stream  of land use regulations and ever increasing property taxes coming out  of Centre County Government.  Freedom loving citizens need not look far to see evidence of the philosophy held by the current group of commissioners.  The latest regulatory initiative posted on the Centre County Planning Office Web Site is called the Nittany and Bald Eagle Greenways Plan.  Implementing the plan will require growing Centre County Government and envisions  additional land use regulations intended to subvert the rights of private property owners in the County.

Here are a few of the plans recommendations:

  • "Since it is not possible to have enough money to buy all the land needed, various planning tools through ordinance and regulations need to be put into place."

  • "Designate a full time professional position dedicated to greenway and open space planning and implementation.  This would require an additional staff position in the Centre County Planning Office."

  • "Establish a County Parks Department. This department would grow over time. It would start small with a full-time professional with administrative support."
